Athens, is the capital city of Greece with a metropolitan population of 3.7 million inhabitants. It is in many ways the birthplace of Classical Greece, and therefore of Western civilization. A major European city where history meets with comfort and fascination. One of the world's most famous landmarks, The Acropolis is located in the city along with Greece's history and culture.

 

The nightlife, a wonderful climate, traditional cuisine and renowned Greek hospitality are just some of the countless attractions Athens has to offer. They provide a unique opportunity for those visiting the cradle of the concept of democracy, an experience you never will forget.

With sites such as the Acropolis and Syntagma Square you won't want to miss out on one of the world's most historical cities! The 3,000 year history of Athens and, indeed, ancient Greece is displayed along Vassilissis Sophias Avenue. Here most of Athens' museums are clustered, including the Benaki Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Byzantine Museum.

Getting around Athens couldn't be easier, with a rail system that could put other countries to shame, a reliable bus system and as many taxi's as you need you will have no hardship in getting about the city!
